the Captain was attacked by a large junk about ten o'clock P.M. on the same date. He was fired upon with muskets and compelled to come alongside; the pirates then boarded (more than 10 men) placed informant and his crew under hatches and sailed to Tai-yü, where they were landed at 3 o'clock in the morning of the next day. The pirates retained possession of the vessel and cargo and sailed off in the direction of Chusan; informant cannot identify the pirates as it was dark during the time of capture.
